Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families
It is expected that all staff who work with children and/or their families are familiar with and use the Framework for the Assessment of Children and their Families as part of their need assessment and care planning practice.
This will help staff to work more collaboratively with other helping agencies/services, reduce the number of assessments that children and their families go through, and develop a common language that seeks to identify child and parental needs and provide focused services in response.
