Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Introduction
Pathways for the diagnosis and management of COPD have been developed to support best practice for the management of COPD within primary care.
The pathways refer to and are intended to be used with the Haringey Guidelines for the diagnosis and management of COPD, which provide more detailed guidance for clinicians.
Both the pathways and guidelines have been developed in consultation with the Haringey Steering Group for COPD and Haringey Community Respiratory Team. They have the approval of the Clinical Effectiveness Group and have been ratified by the Haringey TPCT Clinical Strategy and Primary Care Executive Committee.
Also included here is information about the Respiratory Team; the Pulmonary Rehabilitation service; Home Support; referral criteria & forms and patient information leaflets.
