Management of Hypertension in Primary Care
These guidelines have been developed to support the delivery of hypertension services by health professionals in primary care.
The information contained within these guidelines is based on, and should be used in conjunction with, NICE guidance.
The guidelines were approved by the TPCT prescribing committee in December 2006 and by the PEC in April 2007. They were developed with input from the GP’s, secondary care specialists and TPCT prescribing advisers.
In line with NICE guidance, these guidelines will be due for review in 2010.
