Legal
Prostitution is legal. However a person can be arrested for, soliciting or loitering in a street for the purpose of prostitution, keeping a brothel, controlling prostitution for gain and placing advertisements in a public place. If you have any questions please contact your local outreach worker.
Ugly Mugs
If you have been the victim of robbery, physical and / or sexual violence talk to one of the project workers who can help you report it to the police or if you prefer not to we can still take the details for circulation to other sex workers.
We call these reports ‘Ugly Mugs’ and they are distributed to both ’on’ and ’off’ street sex workers as soon as possible.
The Ugly Mugs circulation also contains useful information on GUM clinics and sex work projects in London and has information on safety, legal information, buying condoms and lube
