Health Visiting Service
The Health Visiting Service comprises of Health Visitors, Community Nurses, Nursery Nurses and Health Visitor Assistants who undertake a range of assessments and interventions with young children aged 0 - 5 and their families.
Staff within the service are based in community clinics/health centres within 5 teams covering the 3 Children's Network areas - South, West and North. These network areas include children's centres. A Team Leader manages each Health Visiting team.
Health Visiting Service Duty System
A duty telephone system is in operation between 9am and 1 pm Monday to Friday. You can speak to a member of your local Health Visiting team directly by calling the duty desk telephone number in your area. Please see below for your closest Duty Desk or the team leaders contact number.
